Stump drummer’s son is a multi-tasking artist

From the rugged coast line of West Coast to the soaring heights of Peru and Kenya songwriter and producer Fintan McKahey ties family legacy, the natural world and pop culture into his latest EP God Games, out on April 28th.

Following on from his debut EP Two Lifetimes Late Fintan McKahey leaves his folk roots behind and delves into down tempo, alt-pop with God Games. Intertwining his experiences exploring alternative belief systems during travels in Thailand, Peru and Kenya, God Games offers a perspective on life, love and possibility.

Title track ‘God Games’ is a love song and invites the listener to transcend the mundane, venture forth and imagine other realms. Takingthe EP on tour this summer Fintan McKahey will launch God Games April 28. The documentary ‘Fintan: Genesis of an Artist’ made by local film maker Stephen Bean, explores the creative development of God Games and will be screened at The Fastnet Film Festival.

Fintan McKahey is the son of Stump drummer, Rob McKahey, and the nephew of Cousteau singer, Liam McKahey. A multi-disciplinary artist, Fintan continues to work as a performer in Ireland, having trained as a classical actor at Kinsale’s amphitheatre and collaborates with artists in film, photography and dance.
