Tommy’s ‘Tomfoolery’ takes a tour west

Tickets go on sale next Wednesday for Tommy Tiernan’s new stand-up show in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar.

Tomfoolery is a high energy mix of outrageous ideas and whimsical flights of fancy…typically Tommy Tiernan!

Starting in Castlebar, these two shows are part of a 23-date tour that will take him to all four provinces.

Stand-up comedy is Tommy’s strong suit, and he has been doing it for over 25 years now. But he has edged sideways in recent years to host his own chat show on RTE, and to star in television shows abroad such as Derry Girls on Channel 4 and Live at the Apollo on BBC.

The Late Late Show has featured some of the most memorable Tommy Tiernan TV moments, but he has also appeared three times on the USA chat show The Late Show with David Letterman and has had his own one-hour special on Comedy Central USA.

Not only has he taken his sardonic wit to places as far apart as Russia and Canada, but he has also toured every nook and cranny of Ireland.

Tommy has been accused of blasphemy in the Irish senate, voted Ireland funniest living person and hailed by Billy Connolly as one of his three favourite comedians in the world.

Tomfoolery with Tommy Tiernan is in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on 11th and 12th February next. Tickets will be available from www.ticketmaster.ie and from the Royal Theatre.
