Four young bands for live evening show in Ballina

Young Ballina bands Displaced and Seeking Sorrow will join two other groups from Mayo for a blast of high-energy sounds in Ballina Arts Centre this coming Wednesday evening, July 9.

Displaced – one of four young bands playing at a special late afternoon show in Ballina

The Rock Radical-promoted show is open to all ages, and begins at 5pm, with the organisers promising a diverse range of music from these four talented bands.

The teenage members of Displaced bring an indie rock style, with catchy, heartfelt tunes that will strike a chord with fans of alternative music. The foursome cite Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer as a major influence and their dynamic approach promises a fresh and engaging performance.

The four girls of Seeking Sorrow describe their music as alternative rock, with pop-punk vibes. Inspired by bands like Daisie, The Scouts and My Chemical Romance, Seeking Sorrow are sure to get the crowd moving.

Joining them will be the all-girl four-piece Calico, currently focusing on covers, but with their own original material soon to be heard.

Finally, it’s the turn of blues rock band Warm Side, who have just released their debut single ‘Blues all Night’. These teenage boys will close the evening off with their soulful and powerful sound.

Tickets for this show, costing €10 plus booking fee, are now on sale online at www.ballinaartscentre.com. You can also book by calling 096-73593 or by emailing info@ballinaartscentre.com.
