Jack White and John Peel are just two music industry luminaries who have been linked with Johnny Walker, soon to appear at an intimate gig in Ballina.
Johnny, a highly accomplished American-born artist, is the man credited with teaching Jack White of The White Stripes how to play slide guitar. And the legendary British DJ and TV presenter John Peel also included a track from Johnny’s band Soledad Brothers on his only curated compilation.

With just 50 tickets available for the show in the NCF Cultural Co-Op, Pearse Street on Friday, July 4, fans of garage blues and psychedelic rock music in Ballina will not be disappointed with this limited-capacity gig by Johnny and his band All-Seeing Eyes.
Johnny Walker started out as a founding member of Detroit, USA band Soledad Brothers, whose first single, ‘Sugar & Spice’, was recorded at Jack White’s house. That single featured in the Record Box collection of John Peel’s personal most treasured singles, who also included the Soledad Brothers track ‘Break ’em On Down’ on his curated album, ‘Fabric Live’.
Johnny went on to play guitar on two tracks of the White Stripes debut LP. Continuing that relationship, Jack White’s record label Third Man Records will re-release the Soledad Brothers albums later in 2025.
With Lance Kaufman (drums) and Kane Kitchen (bass) making up the All-Seeing Eyes rhythm section, Ballina audiences can expect to hear classic Soledad Brothers music, mixed with tracks from the new All-Seeing Eyes album ‘Trone des Fleur’, due for release in July.
With just 50 tickets available for this show, which starts at 9pm, early booking is highly recommended. More information is available by visiting www.thencf.art/events
