A free Open Mic Night returns to TheNCF Cultural Co-op space in Ballina, Co Mayo this coming Saturday, April 25, and whether your performing forte is music, song, poetry, comedy or storytelling, the stage is open to anyone who wishes to take part.
There is no need to register in advance, with sign-up taking place at 9pm on the night, and performances starting from 10pm.
Right-handed and left-handed guitars will be available to performers and the evening will be hosted by local artists Seán Gorman and Joe Clarke.
TheNCF Cultural Co-op is located at 5, Lower Pearse Street, Ballina, opposite The Jackie Clarke Collection.
Meanwhile, this coming Friday night will see a novel sound improvisation meet-up at TheNCF. For this fun exercise, The Accidental Music Club invites you to bring along non-musical objects and explore sound-making with others through listening, experimentation and playful collaboration. There is no musical experience needed, just curiosity and openness.
The event will be hosted by Jonathan Crean and is also free, with tea and coffee provided. The Accidental Music Club is from 7.30pm to 10.30pm in TheNCF Cultural Co-op.
