Well-known music teacher and conductor Regina Deacy is in charge of this weekend’s Midwinter Melodies, a night of delightful music by candlelight which will be presented in St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina on Friday, November 29 at 8pm. Former Eurovision winner, singer Eimear Quinn will be the guest star.
The concert, which will raise money for the St. Muredach’s Cathedral Restoration Fund, will feature St Muredach’s Cathedral Choir and St Mary’s Secondary School Choir under the direction of Regina. Several local musicians will also take part.
Eimear Quinn and Ballina baritone Alan McGinty will be the guest performers, while former newsreader Eileen Dunne will be master of ceremonies for the night.
